Arafah Sermon at Namirah Mosque Emphasizes Faith and Unity

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Today, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, the Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque, delivered the Arafah sermon at Namirah Mosque, attended by numerous pilgrims and dignitaries present for Hajj.

Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi underscored how integral Hajj is to Islam, emphasizing the importance of monotheism and submission to Allah. He described the pilgrimage as an essential occasion for fostering unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding among Muslims across the globe.

During his address, he reinforced the significance of proper behavior in Hajj—encouraging honesty, avoiding sinful actions, and steering clear of disputes or political agendas. He reminded the pilgrims to adhere to established guidelines, remain patient, and respect safety measures during their journey.

In his sermon, he elaborated on the foundational teachings of Islam, urging followers to maintain reverence for Allah and abide by divine directives. Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi also detailed the correct order of Hajj rituals and encouraged pilgrims to uphold peace throughout their worship.

Concluding his sermon, he prayed for the pilgrims’ Hajj to be accepted, called for the unification of the Muslim Ummah, and expressed gratitude for the Saudi leadership's dedication to the Two Holy Mosques.

Following the sermon, the gathered pilgrims engaged in the Dhuhr and Asr prayers in a shortened format, adhering to the Sunnah.
