UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Meets Sierra Leone President Bio

Post by : Bianca Haleem

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, in an official meeting.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Sierra Leone. The talks focused on key sectors including trade, investment, renewable energy, sustainability, and other development priorities that support the growth goals of both countries.

The two sides also highlighted the importance of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed between the UAE and Sierra Leone in February. They reaffirmed their commitment to work together to achieve the objectives of this agreement and to expand economic opportunities that benefit both nations.

Both leaders emphasized the need to build strong development partnerships that promote progress, prosperity, and long-term economic cooperation.

They also reviewed recent developments in the Middle East region and discussed their impact on regional and global peace, international security, maritime navigation, and the global economy.

In addition, the President of Sierra Leone strongly condemned recent attacks attributed to Iran targeting civilians, civilian facilities, and infrastructure in the UAE and other countries in the region. He described these actions as violations of international law and sovereignty that threaten regional stability and security.
