Sheikh Zayed Visits UMEX 2026 Drone and Defense Exhibition

His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended an impressive showcase of live aerial demonstrations featuring cutting-edge unmanned systems at Tilal Swaihan during the seventh iteration of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and the Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX).

The event commenced with the UAE national anthem, leading into a performance from the military band. The Al Fursan aerobatic team captivated attendees with a meticulously coordinated flight, underscoring the UAE's commitment to skill and precision in aerial maneuvers.

Sheikh Zayed observed live exercises from the Tilal Swaihan Mile Race Championship, where competitors executed tactical drills with unmanned aerial systems in a simulated battlefield. These exercises showcased real-world situations aimed at enhancing air defense capabilities, operational adaptability, and the integration of advanced technologies with highly skilled personnel across military, security, and civilian landscapes.

During his tour, Sheikh Zayed visited various pavilions from both local and global enterprises presenting their innovations in unmanned aerial technologies and AI-driven tactical systems that enhance the efficacy of autonomous operations in land, air, and sea.

Additionally, he evaluated sophisticated simulation systems for unmanned vehicle operations featured in the accompanying exhibition, covering a broad spectrum of applications for defense, security, civilian use, and humanitarian efforts such as aerial medical evacuations and emergency responses in isolated areas.

The exhibition includes a specialized commercial area where companies unveil unmanned solutions for intelligent transportation, urban development, energy infrastructure, and futuristic supply chains.
