China Expands Its Low-Orbit Internet Satellite Network

Beijing: In a remarkable advancement, China has successfully sent a new batch of low-orbit internet satellites into space, further advancing its space-based communication framework.

The launch occurred on Thursday from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province, northern China.

Official reports indicate that the deployment took place at 3:38 a.m. Beijing time using a modified Long March-6 rocket. This new satellite group has entered its intended orbit, showcasing China's evolving space ambitions.

This mission marks the 21st launch of low-Earth orbit internet satellites, part of China’s overarching strategy to develop a comprehensive satellite-based internet infrastructure for enhanced global connectivity.

Additionally, this launch is noted as the 637th flight mission in the Long March series, reflecting the robust reliability of China's launch systems.

The successful mission highlights China's consistent progress in aerospace technologies and its increasing influence in the international space sector.
