UAE Extradites Teen Facing Charges in 2024 Murder in Westminster

Enzo Bettamio, an 18-year-old, has been extradited from the UAE to the UK, where he now faces charges related to the murder of 27-year-old Kamonnan Thiamphanit, also known as Angela.

He was transferred to the UK from Dubai on Friday and was charged immediately upon arrival, making his initial appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court the following day.

At the hearing, he was taken into custody with plans to appear at the Old Bailey on 28 April. While he confirmed his name and date of birth, he did not provide a plea.

According to the Metropolitan Police, Thiamphanit was discovered with multiple stab wounds inside her Westminster residence on 8 April 2024, where she was pronounced dead.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, overseeing the case, expressed gratitude to the family and friends of the victim for their understanding during what has been an “incredibly difficult and distressing time” for them.

Authorities confirmed that Thiamphanit’s family has been kept informed of the case's progress and is receiving assistance from specialized officers.

Thiamphanit, who possessed dual citizenship from China-Hong Kong and Thailand, had been residing in the UK for nearly nine years, initially arriving for university studies and later working in property management.
