Thai Helps Thai Plus Reaches Record 26 Million Sign-Ups

Post by : Shakul

Thailand's prominent economic stimulus program, Thai Helps Thai Plus, has wrapped up its public enrollment phase, achieving over 26 million subscribers in just five days. The remarkable turnout demonstrates substantial public enthusiasm for government strategies oriented toward decreasing living expenses and stimulating economic engagement throughout the nation.

As reported by the Prime Minister’s Office, the sign-up system officially ended on May 29, 2026, amassing a total of 26.04 million participants in the initiative. Officials interpreted this robust response as a clear signal that families are eager to take advantage of financial support aimed at alleviating economic strain and enhancing consumer spending.

Though public registration has concluded, the government announced that businesses can still enroll in the program until July 31, 2026. New merchants will be able to access program benefits starting from June 1, thereby enhancing the network of participating establishments across Thailand.

Merchants who have already participated in the Co-Pay Plus program and received necessary approvals can swiftly access the updated program benefits through the “Tung Ngern” application. Authorities believe this smooth transition will allow businesses to quickly leverage the increase in consumer activity driven by the initiative.

In addition to direct financial assistance, the Ministry of Finance is set to launch a new digital tool named “Whispering Bird,” an AI-powered assistant integrated with the “Money Bag” application. This system is aimed at providing practical insights for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The AI assistant will support merchants in evaluating sales, managing inventory, assessing financial health, and refining business strategies. Officials assert that this technology will empower entrepreneurs to make informed decisions, thereby enhancing their prospects for formal financing and credit opportunities in the future.

Government officials have stressed that these new digital initiatives are vital for reinforcing Thailand's small and medium-sized enterprises. By merging financial backing with technology-focused business development aid, authorities aspire to cultivate a more resilient grassroots economy while fostering sustainable advancement for local businesses in the years to come.
