Deadline Approaches for Thailand's e-Filing of Financial Statements

Post by : Shakul

The Thai government is reminding legal entities to ensure their financial statements are submitted through the DBD e-Filing platform by June 2, 2026. This submission is vital for legal compliance and for reinforcing business trustworthiness.

Lalida Periswiwatana from the Ministry of Commerce has called on businesses with accounting years concluding on December 31, 2025, to finalize their filings within the designated period.

The Department of Business Development reports that approximately 907,151 legal entities must submit their financial statements this year. To date, only about 104,369 have done so, reflecting a completion rate of only 12 percent.

These financial statements are crucial for assessing a company’s performance, serving as key documents for management, shareholders, investors, and business partners in decision-making. They also help strengthen trust within the business community.

Companies including limited liability firms, public companies, trade associations, and chambers of commerce have until April 30, 2026, to approve their financial reports and submit them within four months post-fiscal year-end. Due to a holiday, this deadline has been extended to June 2, 2026.

Registered partnerships, joint ventures, and foreign entities may file their financial statements within five months of their fiscal year-end, also due by June 2, 2026.

Officials caution that late submissions could harm business credibility. Entities failing to file for three consecutive years may be classified as dormant and removed from the official register.

Companies are encouraged to file early to avoid potential system delays and to allow for any necessary corrections. The DBD e-Filing system aims to streamline processes, cut down on paperwork, and aid the country's shift towards a digital economy.
