Thailand Gears Up for Songkran Travel Surge

Thailand Gears Up for Songkran Travel Surge

Post by : Shakul

In anticipation of the bustling travel period during the Songkran holiday, the Thai government has unveiled a set of proactive measures aimed at ensuring the comfort, safety, and affordability for the millions planning to travel. To address public concerns, officials are focused on maintaining stable costs and guaranteeing the availability of necessary resources.

Throughout the holiday stretch, transport fares will remain unchanged to minimize financial stress on passengers. Additionally, nationwide fuel supplies are being fortified, with transport authorities collaborating with energy providers to ensure that essential reserves are available at strategic transit points.

To mitigate disruptions during this busy time, the government is implementing a real-time GPS tracking system that will oversee over 5,700 fuel delivery trucks. This initiative aims to guarantee prompt fuel distributions and prevent shortages on key travel routes during peak demand.

Officials predict a notable increase in travel activity between April 10 and 19, estimating millions of vehicle trips and public transport journeys. Citizens are encouraged to plan their travel in advance to alleviate any potential congestion and enhance safety, assuring that all necessary systems are established for a secure and efficient travel experience.
