At the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held in Hanoi, Vietnam's General Secretary and President To Lam encouraged the youth to take initiative in driving the nation’s future. He emphasized that the younger generation should equip themselves with knowledge, innovation, and a sense of responsibility to tackle upcoming challenges.

Prioritizing Education and Digital Competencies

In his remarks, To Lam underscored the significance of continuous education, digital advancements, and scientific developments. He urged young individuals to enhance their digital expertise, acquire foreign language skills, and seize opportunities in the realms of artificial intelligence, innovation, and the digital economy.

Youth Engagement in Community Service

Additionally, To Lam called for active youth involvement in volunteer initiatives, environmental conservation, community enhancement, and national security. He remarked that youth movements need to generate tangible benefits for society while bolstering the country’s long-term growth.

Enhancing the Youth Union's Role

He further emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union must continually adapt and improve its engagement with young individuals. The organization should play a crucial role in nurturing future leaders and motivating more youths to contribute to national advancement.

Government's Role in Supporting Youth

To Lam also called upon government entities, educational institutions, families, and community organizations to collaborate in fostering youth development. He highlighted the importance of creating enhanced opportunities for education, employment, entrepreneurship, and personal growth to help young people realize their full potential.

Envisioning Vietnam's Prosperous Future

In conclusion, To Lam expressed his faith in the younger generation's role in advancing Vietnam's modernization. He urged every young Vietnamese to dedicate themselves to their studies, work with integrity, innovate boldly, and actively participate in creating a stronger and thriving Vietnam.
