Traffic Snarls Between Dubai and Sharjah During Morning Rush

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Commuters are facing increasing traffic delays on major roads connecting Dubai and Sharjah, with slow vehicles noted on highways and inner-city streets, according to Google Maps traffic updates.

Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) is experiencing significant delays near Business Bay and Al Barsha as morning peak hours intensify.

Al Khail Road (E44) is also affected, showing sluggish movement between Meydan and Ras Al Khor, particularly due to multiple accidents causing extended travel times.

Congestion has reached important connecting routes, such as Hessa Street (D61) and Umm Suqeim Street (D63), where drivers are encountering stop-and-go conditions across various stretches.

For those traveling to Sharjah, pockets of congestion on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) are noted near Dubai South, close to Al Maktoum International Airport, and around Dubai Production City. Heavy traffic also persists through Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO).

Emirates Road (E611) remains relatively clear overall, though delays are reported between Athaib and Al Khawaneej toward Dubai. A number of accidents have been logged along this route as well.

Authorities recommend drivers factor in extra travel time, keep safe distances, and consider alternate routes as morning traffic continues to escalate across Dubai.
