Delhi Shooting: Young Man Murdered in Maujpur Over Personal Vendetta

Post by : Meena Hassan

In a tragic turn of events in northeast Delhi, a 24-year-old individual named Faizan was shot dead at a cafe in Maujpur on Thursday night. Authorities have confirmed that this incident arose from a personal grudge.

A video shared on Instagram by the accused, using the handle 'moinqureshiii_', features him confessing to the murder. In the recording, he stated that Faizan had slapped him several months ago, which motivated him to take revenge. He clarified that neither his family nor friends were involved and asserted that financial elements did not influence his actions.

"I killed Faizan because of a personal issue. My father, relatives, or friends had no part in this. He slapped me four months prior, and that led me to this act," the accused mentioned in the video. He also rejected claims made by Faizan's family linking the shooting to financial disagreements.

Earlier, Faizan's brother, Salman, alleged that Faizan had outstanding debts and claimed that both the suspect and his father had confronted him regarding the unpaid money. Salman is demanding arrests for both the shooter and his father.

The shooting took place around 10:28 pm at Mr King Lounge and Cafe. Faizan was discovered critically injured and was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Salman noted that Faizan sustained three bullet wounds—one to the head and two to the chest—as well as a cut on his hand.

Police have filed a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. Multiple teams are actively working to apprehend the perpetrator. Investigations are still in progress to uncover the full details surrounding this crime.
