Young Indian Student Loses Life in Chicago Traffic Incident

A devastating traffic incident near Chicago has resulted in the death of a 25-year-old Indian student, with six other individuals sustaining injuries late Saturday night in Indiana.

Reports indicate that the event occurred on Interstate 65, close to Crown Point in Lake County. Emergency services promptly responded to the scene after reports of a significant collision.

The deceased has been identified by local media as Navya Gadusu. The Lake County Coroner's Office has confirmed she was declared dead at 12:16 am on Sunday following the incident.

Authorities stated that six other persons were injured in the crash and subsequently taken to area hospitals for medical attention. No updates have been provided regarding their condition.

For several hours, police and emergency teams remained on-site to investigate the circumstances of the crash and to clear the highway of damaged vehicles.

The event has resonated within the Indian community and among fellow students in the U.S., evoking numerous messages of condolence and support across social media platforms in response to Navya's passing.

Investigations are ongoing as authorities seek to uncover the details surrounding the tragic collision on Interstate 65.
