Joyous festivities are unfolding in Turkmenistan’s Balkan velayat as the nation observes Constitution Day and National Flag Day through a variety of cultural events, concerts, and patriotic gatherings.
This year's celebrations are framed within the national theme of “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan: The Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” aligning with the upcoming 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
The heart of the celebrations in Balkanabat city was the Main Flag Square, drawing students, young activists, artists, and participants from public organizations across the region for a series of musical and cultural performances.
Organizers included the Balkan velayat council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, together with cultural departments, the Women’s Union, and a range of other social bodies.
During the celebrations, speakers emphasized Turkmenistan’s rising international stature and commended the leadership of National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for advancing national initiatives and youth programs.
Participants, particularly students and the youth, expressed appreciation for the educational opportunities and social support systems available to them. Officials indicated that these celebrations are designed to bolster patriotism and national pride among younger generations.
The festive atmosphere was enlivened by performances from singers, theater groups, folklore ensembles, and dancers illustrating Turkmen culture, traditions, and national values through music and artistic displays.
As per event organizers, ongoing conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and competitions dedicated to Constitution Day and National Flag Day are scheduled throughout the Balkan region. Authorities highlighted that these activities promote peace, friendship, cultural identity, and commitment to the nation’s values.
