Expanding Turkmen-Türkiye Trade Relations Discussed

Mekan Ishangulyyev, the Turkmen ambassador to Türkiye, engaged in a significant dialogue with Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, on May 1, 2026. The primary focus was on enhancing trade and economic partnerships between the two nations while identifying new avenues for expansion.

Both representatives highlighted strategies to deepen bilateral trade relations in light of the contemporary global economic landscape. They stressed the importance of fostering robust connections between businesses and developing innovative pathways for trade and investment between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.

The discussion underscored the necessity of diversifying commercial links to meet evolving economic conditions. An agreement emerged that broadening collaboration across various sectors would yield a more resilient economic partnership.

Attention was directed towards the initiation of joint projects, anticipated to significantly enhance trade activities and promote synergy between enterprises of both nations. The discussions focused on tangible initiatives that promise genuine economic advantages.
