UAE Agents Uncover and Dismantle Terror Group with Iranian Ties

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The State Security Agency of the United Arab Emirates has successfully dismantled a terrorist group, resulting in the arrest of several individuals involved in actions that posed a risk to national safety and stability.

According to reports from Emirates News Agency (WAM), the investigation indicated connections between the group and Iran's extremist "Velayat-e Faqih" network. The suspects adhered to radical ideologies and were preparing for systematic acts of terrorism and sabotage within the UAE.

The findings revealed that members participated in clandestine meetings both domestically and internationally, collaborating with external entities to recruit targets and plan attacks on sensitive sites across the UAE.

Authorities highlighted that the group aimed to manipulate Emirati youth by disseminating erroneous information and promoting allegiance to foreign factions. Their activities sought to challenge the UAE’s domestic policies and foreign relations, as well as tarnish the nation's image.

Furthermore, the group was implicated in gathering funds through unofficial means and transferring money to dubious foreign contacts.

The individuals arrested now face severe charges, including establishing and running an underground organization, pledging loyalty to foreign interests, and undermining national unity and social cohesion.

The State Security Agency reiterated its commitment to safeguarding public safety and upholding stability while encouraging citizens and residents to report any suspicious activities through official routes to bolster national security initiatives.
