During a significant working visit to the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President, engaged in discussions with Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama.
As reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the conversation was centered on enhancing collaborative efforts between their nations. They explored opportunities to advance cooperation in vital areas such as economic growth, trade, renewable energy, and technological innovation, deemed essential for fostering development and mutual advantages.
The two leaders reiterated their dedication to cultivating solid partnerships and increasing joint efforts. They noted the consistent progress made in diplomatic relations and expressed desire to broaden initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable economic development and elevating the quality of life for their citizens.
The ongoing situation in the Middle East was also a key topic of their discussions, alongside its implications for regional security and broader global stability. They assessed concerns regarding international navigation safety and its subsequent impact on the world economy.
A significant point of contention during their dialogue was related to recent Iranian attacks on civilians and infrastructure in the UAE and beyond. The Albanian Prime Minister condemned these acts vehemently, asserting that they contravene international law and undermine regional peace and security.
Both leaders agreed on the necessity of collaborative efforts to safeguard security, stability, and ongoing development across the region.
