Under the esteemed patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) celebrated the achievements of 34 winners during the fourth cycle of the prestigious Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award.
The event held at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi was attended by ministers, senior officials, and notable public figures. This award recognizes remarkable contributions to agricultural innovation and plays a pivotal role in enhancing the food security framework within the UAE.
Impressive Participation Marks Sector Progress
Dr Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri noted that this year witnessed a remarkable 476 submissions for the main award alongside 3,395 entries across related competitions. Winners were carefully chosen based on stringent criteria focused on sustainability, production quality, and resource efficiency.
He stressed that the ongoing global supply chain challenges underscore the necessity for local agricultural production, making these initiatives vital for sustainable growth.

Official statements highlighted the forward-thinking vision of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in bolstering essential sectors like agriculture. The support from Sheikh Mansour is also instrumental in encouraging innovation and empowering the farming community across the nation.
Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi recognized the increasing involvement of Emirati women and youth, noting their significant contributions toward adopting modern technologies and sustainable farming practices.
