The National Academy for Childhood Development is excited to announce that applications have commenced for the fourth cohort of its Accredited Vocational Diploma in Childhood Development. Interested candidates can register from April 20 to May 4, 2026.
This program aims to foster a talented national workforce within the childhood development arena. It equips individuals with the necessary skills to nurture children’s growth utilizing both scientific and practical methods.
Since its inception, the Diploma has garnered significant attention, attracting over 22,500 applications over the last three years. Only 304 candidates were chosen, highlighting the competitive nature of the selection process, with an acceptance rate of just 1.35%.
Moreover, the program has attracted a growing number of Emirati participants, with 114 UAE Nationals currently enrolled. This reflects an increased awareness of the crucial role early childhood development plays in fostering a prosperous society.
Accredited by the National Qualifications Center, the 18-month diploma features a well-structured curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, consisting of 25 modules divided into five phases. Twenty of these modules are covered during the academic period, while the remaining five occur during an intensive six-month field training segment.
The curriculum covers vital subjects such as child development theories, child behavior, safety and wellbeing, and family engagement, while also focusing on Emirati culture, national identity, and the Arabic language.
Participants will benefit from field training with leading organizations like the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, and the Family Care Authority, providing real-world application of their studies.
The program is conducted entirely in Arabic, aligning with the UAE’s objective of enhancing the language's prominence within education and professional sectors.
All successful applicants will receive a comprehensive scholarship and a monthly stipend, enabling them to concentrate on their education and career advancement.
Interested candidates can apply through the academy’s official website or the NAPO digital platform until May 4, 2026.
Recently, the academy proudly celebrated the graduation of 191 students from its earlier cohorts, many of whom have already embarked on careers in government and private organizations, actively contributing to the development of the childhood sector in the UAE.
The program remains a cornerstone in nurturing qualified professionals and enhancing collaborations that bolster the UAE's childhood development ecosystem.
