Sheikh Hazza Evaluates UAE Cybersecurity Strategies in Al Ain

His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative for the Al Ain Region, welcomed a delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) at Al Maqam Palace, led by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, the Council's Chairman.

In the meeting, Sheikh Hazza received updates on the Council's current strategies aimed at bolstering the UAE's digital framework and enhancing national expertise in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. These initiatives strive to create a secure digital ecosystem that aligns with global technological advancements, supporting various sectors.

His Highness also discussed the enhancement of the CyberE71 Incubator Programme, the UAE's premier initiative for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in cybersecurity. This expanded initiative will engage school and university students, along with entrepreneurs in the Al Ain Region, focusing on skill enhancement and the development of advanced cybersecurity solutions that safeguard cyberspace and bolster the digital economy.

Sheikh Hazza emphasized the necessity of nurturing cybersecurity talent nationwide to reinforce the UAE's defense mechanisms in cyberspace. He remarked that a secure digital landscape is crucial for improving economic productivity, enhancing global competitiveness, and advancing the transition towards a knowledge-driven economy.

Additionally, His Highness underlined the importance of fostering cybersecurity awareness among individuals and organizations to combat digital threats, safeguard national achievements, and support the UAE’s strategic objectives in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Such awareness is essential for sustainable growth across significant economic sectors.

The UAE Cybersecurity Council team expressed gratitude to Sheikh Hazza for the engagement, noting it reflects his keen interest in priority sectors and his ongoing support for initiatives that promote digital readiness and enhance the cybersecurity ecosystem in Al Ain and throughout the emirate.

The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
