UAE Enhances Defence Relations at FIDAE 2026 in Chile

Santiago, Chile: The International Air, Space, Defence and Security Exhibition (FIDAE 2026) was officially opened by Chilean President José Antonio Kast, signaling the start of Latin America's premier aerospace and defence event.

This biennial event, hosted at Pudahuel Air Base, attracts major global entities from aviation, defense, and security realms, serving as a pivotal venue for international innovation and collaboration.

During the exhibition, President Kast explored various national pavilions, including that of EDGE Group. He commended the United Arab Emirates for its exemplary representation, emphasizing the innovative defence solutions and cutting-edge technologies on display.

UAE Ambassador to Chile, Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, characterized the UAE's involvement as a crucial strategic development. He stressed that it embodies the UAE’s ambition to forge robust international collaborations in advanced technologies and innovations aimed at bolstering global security.

Al Neyadi pointed out that EDGE Group's entry into the South American market showcases the rising international trust in the UAE's defence capabilities. He reiterated the UAE’s commitment to creating integrated solutions, prepared for future challenges efficiently.

Focusing on bilateral relations, the ambassador highlighted the strengthening ties between the UAE and Chile, noting expanding synergies across economic, technical, and investment domains. He regarded Chile as a vital strategic ally in Latin America, given its robust innovation environment and open marketplace.

Further emphasizing the necessity of global collaboration, Al Neyadi remarked that bridging knowledge and facilitating technology transfer are crucial for addressing contemporary issues and attaining sustainable growth.

Concluding, he reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to deepening partnerships with Chile and other Latin American nations, thus supporting regional stability and fostering long-term economic progress.
