Gaza Receives 600 Tonnes of Aid from UAE's Humaid Air Bridge

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Initiated under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the “Humaid Air Bridge” has successfully wrapped up its mission, providing over 600 tonnes of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Operating for more than two months, this relief effort saw vital food and humanitarian supplies being transported to Al Arish, Egypt. Subsequently, these supplies were readied for delivery into Gaza, in collaboration with the appropriate authorities.

Included in this mission were approximately 30,000 food parcels, tailored to fulfill the basic requirements of Palestinian families. As a result, it is estimated that over 150,000 people will directly benefit from this extensive humanitarian initiative.

Various UAE humanitarian organizations participated actively in this campaign, including the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charitable Foundation, the International Charity Organisation, the Emirates Red Crescent in Ajman, Al Ihsan Charity Association, and the Al Etihad Charity Foundation.

This initiative is a vital part of the UAE's broader humanitarian strategy under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3”, initiated by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The operation encompasses air and sea relief efforts, including “Birds of Goodness” aid drops, support for field and floating hospitals, and various humanitarian programs designed to alleviate the hardships faced by the Palestinian populace.
