UAE Introduces Fourth Edition of Emirates Labour Market Award

Post by : Shakul

The UAE has unveiled the fourth edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award, a national initiative aimed at recognising exemplary companies, workers, entrepreneurs, and organisations that contribute significantly to the labour market's growth. This award highlights the UAE's dedication to establishing a competitive, innovative, and employee-centric economy.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) oversees the organisation of the award, which is patronised by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This year's edition aligns with the UAE's long-term economic vision and the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Family,” reinforcing the importance of employee welfare, family support, and sustainable workplace practices.

The award introduces a refined framework and features four principal categories along with various specialised recognitions. It honours Emirati entrepreneurs, multinational corporations, entities fostering digital transformation, and businesses excelling in workforce protection and talent development.

A significant emphasis is placed on promoting family-friendly workplaces and employee well-being. Companies adopting innovative policies that support work-life balance, career development, and staff health will receive special accolades for enhancing a more productive labour environment.

Moreover, the award acknowledges individual accomplishments in diverse professions. Business leaders, skilled technicians, frontline personnel, support staff, and familial caregivers are eligible for recognition. Officials assert that this initiative underscores the essential role that individuals play in bolstering the economy and fostering community progress.

Dr Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Chairman of the Award Supervisory Committee, remarked that this programme serves as an integral platform for promoting excellence, innovation, and healthy competition within the UAE's labour sector. He emphasised that the award continually supports the nation’s objective to enhance business competitiveness and private sector performance.

Winners will be awarded considerable incentives, including cash prizes of up to Dh100,000 for individuals and additional business perks for companies. First-place entities will gain access to premium ministry services and priority support, as well as elite classification status. Applications for the 2026 edition are open until August 31, with winners selected through an extensive evaluation process based on governance, performance, and innovation criteria.
