UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. The gathering was also attended by Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia, who is currently on an official visit to the UAE.
The leaders exchanged Ramadan greetings and prayed for blessings, peace, and prosperity for the UAE, the wider Islamic world, and beyond. They expressed hope that the holy month would continue to strengthen unity, security, and development across the country.
Among those present were Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah; Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah; Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain; and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister.
During the gathering, the leaders discussed the UAE’s continued progress and efforts to strengthen national development. They highlighted the importance of building on past achievements and fulfilling the aspirations of the people.
A documentary was also shown featuring testimonies from individuals who witnessed the historic founding of the UAE, when the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan raised the UAE flag for the first time. Participants shared their memories and the lasting impact of that historic moment.
Several Crown Princes and senior officials attended, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and other leaders from across the Emirates. Ministers, senior officials, and members of the Federal National Council were also present.
The attendees performed Maghrib prayer together and joined an iftar banquet hosted by the President in honour of the Rulers, Crown Princes, and Deputy Rulers.
The Ramadan gathering reflected the strong unity among UAE leaders and reaffirmed their shared commitment to the country’s future growth and stability.
