Abu Dhabi, February 22, 2026 — The National Centre of Meteorology has issued a weather alert warning of possible fog formation and a significant reduction in horizontal visibility across several parts of the UAE.
In its weather update released on Sunday, the NCM stated that visibility levels may deteriorate sharply at times, particularly over some coastal and internal regions of the country. These conditions are expected to prevail from 10:00 pm on Sunday, February 22, 2026, until 10:00 am on Monday, February 23, 2026.
The meteorological authority cautioned that fog and low visibility could affect road conditions, especially during late-night and early-morning hours. Motorists have been advised to drive carefully, reduce speed, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and strictly follow all traffic and road safety instructions during this period.
The NCM added that it is closely monitoring weather developments and will continue to provide timely updates as necessary to ensure public safety and awareness.
