Abu Dhabi: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes and senior officials on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan during a gathering at Qasr Al Bahr.
The meeting was attended by Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto, who is currently on an official visit to the UAE, reflecting strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
Among those present were Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi; and other Supreme Council Members and Rulers representing the seven emirates.
The leaders exchanged Ramadan greetings and expressed hopes that the holy month would bring continued peace, stability and prosperity to the UAE, the wider Islamic world, and beyond.
During the gathering, attendees viewed a documentary highlighting testimonies from individuals who witnessed the historic founding of the UAE in 1971, when the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan raised the UAE flag for the first time. The reflection underscored national unity and the country’s development journey over the past five decades.
Senior UAE leaders, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, were also present, alongside ministers, Federal National Council representatives, and other officials.
The event concluded with Maghrib prayer and an iftar banquet hosted by the President in honour of the Rulers, Crown Princes and guests.
The annual Ramadan reception reflects the UAE leadership’s tradition of strengthening national unity and reinforcing diplomatic relations during the holy month.
