Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Tupou VI on Friday, during which the two leaders discussed the recent tensions in the Middle East following Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region.
During the call, King Tupou VI strongly condemned the Iranian attacks and described them as a serious violation of state sovereignty, international law, and the principles of the United Nations Charter. He expressed his support and solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and other nations affected by the attacks.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed thanked the King of Tonga for his supportive stance and appreciation for the UAE during the ongoing regional tensions.
Both leaders also stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving regional issues. They agreed that peaceful discussions and international cooperation are essential to maintaining security, stability, and peace in the region and across the world.
