Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held a virtual meeting with Joni Ernst to discuss ways to strengthen strategic cooperation between the UAE and the United States.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations in a manner that supports mutual interests and delivers long-term benefits for their respective nations and peoples.
The discussions also focused on recent developments in the region and their broader implications for regional and global peace and security. Both leaders exchanged perspectives on the evolving situation and emphasized the importance of maintaining stability.
A key topic of the meeting was the ongoing Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region. These attacks, which have affected civilians and critical infrastructure, were strongly condemned by Senator Ernst, who described them as clear violations of sovereignty, international law, and established global norms.
The meeting was attended by Yousef Al Otaiba, the UAE Ambassador to the United States, highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement in strengthening bilateral relations.
The engagement underscores the continued cooperation between the UAE and the United States in addressing shared challenges and promoting regional security.
