The United Arab Emirates is expected to experience extremely hot weather conditions over the coming days, with temperatures climbing to as high as 47°C in inland areas. The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast generally fair skies, accompanied by dusty conditions caused by fresh winds across several parts of the country.
According to the weather authority, inland regions are likely to record temperatures between 42°C and 47°C, while coastal areas and islands will see temperatures ranging from 36°C to 41°C. Mountainous regions are expected to remain comparatively cooler, with temperatures fluctuating between 32°C and 37°C.
Meteorologists have warned that winds blowing from southwesterly to northwesterly directions could strengthen during the day, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h. These conditions may lead to blowing dust and sand, particularly in exposed areas, reducing visibility for motorists and residents.
Weather experts said the hot and dry conditions are expected to continue through the weekend and into early next week. However, increasing humidity levels during the night and early morning hours could create favorable conditions for fog and mist formation in some coastal and inland locations.
Cloud development is also expected over parts of the eastern regions on Saturday. While no significant rainfall has been forecast, the combination of clouds, humidity and dusty winds could create varying weather conditions across different emirates.
Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight to moderate for most of the forecast period. However, authorities have indicated that the Arabian Gulf could become rough at times, especially on Friday and again by Monday night.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours and follow weather updates issued by official authorities. With temperatures remaining well above seasonal averages in some areas, precautionary measures are being encouraged to ensure public safety during the intense summer heat.
