Vietnam Unveils Plan for Trang An as a Global Tourism Destination

Post by : Shakul

The Vietnamese government has laid out an ambitious vision to elevate the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex into a globally recognized tourist venue, all while prioritizing the preservation of its rich cultural and natural heritage. This initiative, endorsed by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra, forms part of a larger goal to foster sustainable tourism growth.

Spanning over 9,600 hectares, the initiative encompasses the entire Trang An Tam Coc Bich Dong area in Ninh Binh. Authorities are committed to safeguarding the site’s remarkable universal value as they work to enhance its attractiveness for both local and international tourists. The project is anticipated to significantly uplift tourism in the Northern Delta region.

Conservation remains a primary concern, with stringent measures being put in place to protect the landscapes, ecosystems, and historical sites. Development actions will be carefully supervised to uphold the integrity of the heritage area, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Improvements to infrastructure and organized spatial planning are also central to the government’s strategy, aimed at enhancing the visitor experience. This includes the establishment of protected zones, careful land use management, and the creation of technical systems that facilitate tourism without compromising environmental integrity.

Cultural preservation is integral to the initiative, focusing on maintaining local craft villages and celebrating traditional festivals. Authorities plan to weave these cultural aspects into tourism offerings, enriching visitors' interactions with the region’s history and traditions.

New tourism offerings, including ecotourism, cultural excursions, adventure tourism, and agricultural experiences, will be introduced to broaden the appeal to a diverse audience and foster new economic opportunities for local residents.

Embracing contemporary tourism trends, the plan will also incorporate digital experiences and smart tourism practices, ensuring Trang An remains competitive on the world stage. At the same time, regulations will be established to manage visitor numbers and protect the environment.

In summary, this initiative highlights Vietnam's dedication to harmonizing heritage conservation with economic growth, setting the stage for Trang An to emerge as a premier destination known for its natural beauty, cultural wealth, and sustainable tourism practices.
