The Cockroach Janta Party, initially a satirical online campaign, took a bold step into mainstream politics as hundreds of its supporters gathered at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, on Saturday. The event was spearheaded by the party's founder, Abhijeet Dipke, who returned to India from the United States for this protest. Supporters, carrying national flags and books, joined together peacefully to voice their demands for reforms in the education sector and accountability for examination-related controversies that have ignited heated discussions among students and young professionals.
Originally fueled by grievances over alleged irregularities in recent exams, the protest has grown to encompass broader frustrations regarding unemployment and limited career prospects, echoing concerns about the future of India's youth.
