Adrien Saddier had a dream Sunday at the Italian Open as he captured his first-ever DP World Tour title—and the timing couldn’t have been more special, as it came on his 200th tour appearance. The 33-year-old French golfer produced a sensational performance on the final nine holes to seal a two-shot win, marking a significant moment in his career.

The final round began with Saddier just one shot behind fellow Frenchman Martin Couvra, who had been leading after three rounds. However, things didn’t go smoothly at the start for Saddier. He made a promising birdie on the second hole but then stumbled with bogeys on the fourth and eighth, causing him to fall three strokes behind.

At that point, it seemed like Couvra was in control and might go on to win the title. But everything changed as Saddier turned onto the back nine.

Showing great focus and confidence, Saddier went on an incredible birdie run, making five birdies on holes 10, 11, 13, 14, and 16. This remarkable streak allowed him to overtake Couvra and build a solid three-shot lead with just two holes remaining.

With pressure building, Saddier stayed composed and played safe, finishing with two steady pars on the 17th and 18th holes. He signed off with a brilliant final-round score of 66, taking his total to 14 under par for the tournament. This stunning back-nine performance proved to be the key to unlocking his maiden win on the tour.

Martin Couvra, who had led for most of the final day, finished alone in second place at 12 under, after shooting a final-round 69. While it wasn’t the outcome he had hoped for, the 21-year-old still showed great potential and maturity throughout the week.

Scotland’s Calum Hill and England’s Dan Bradbury also had strong tournaments, finishing tied for third place.

For Adrien Saddier, this win is more than just a trophy. It’s the result of years of hard work, patience, and persistence. After 199 previous appearances without a victory, his 200th finally brought the reward he had been chasing. It’s a moment he will never forget—and a performance that golf fans are sure to remember.
