AED 3.5B Contracts Secured for Villas at Palm Jebel Ali

Post by : Bianca Haleem

In a significant development, Nakheel, affiliated with Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded contracts exceeding AED 3.5 billion for the construction of 544 villas at Palm Jebel Ali, signaling a crucial advancement in one of Dubai’s premier waterfront initiatives.

The contracts have been assigned to Ginco General Contracting L.L.C and United Engineering Construction (UNEC). Ginco is tasked with building 354 villas located on Fronds A to D, while UNEC will take charge of 190 villas across Fronds E and F. The construction will commence this quarter, with a projected completion date in the fourth quarter of 2028.

Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, remarked that these contract awards signify tangible progress in the Palm Jebel Ali development. He noted that this project will substantially enhance Dubai’s coastline and foster long-term growth, making the city an appealing destination for residents, investors, and visitors alike.

Ginco's Chairman Gheyath Mohammad Gheyath expressed pride in continuing the partnership with Nakheel and reaffirmed their commitment to high-quality project delivery. Meanwhile, UNEC Chairman Eng. Abdul Halim Muwahid emphasized the essence of cooperation, referring to Palm Jebel Ali as a key initiative that will help in developing future communities.

The Palm Jebel Ali project is integral to Dubai’s future expansion endeavors, aligning with the city’s vision of sustainable, modern waterfront living. The villas represent a diverse collection featuring 10 unique designs, emphasizing sea views, smart-home technologies, and environmentally friendly elements.

This initiative also supports the broader goals outlined in the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, reinforcing Dubai's status as a global frontrunner in premium waterfront developments.
