Al Jalila Foundation Enhances Healthcare Initiatives for 2025

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Al Jalila Foundation has unveiled its impressive accomplishments for 2025, reaffirming its pivotal role in enhancing healthcare in the UAE through philanthropy, innovation, and community-centered initiatives that align with Dubai Health’s goal of improving health for all.

Robust Community and Healthcare Outreach

In 2025, the foundation supported 13 key healthcare initiatives, benefiting 9,737 individuals across various programmes. These efforts cover critical areas, including patient care, medical education, research, and community involvement.

The foundation also achieved AED 435 million in contributions from donors, signifying the ongoing trust and support from its partners.

Enhancing Care, Education, Discovery, and Community Impact

Through its fundamental pillars, Al Jalila Foundation provided extensive support:

  • Patient Care: 3,628 individuals helped through initiatives like The Child Fund and A’awen, aimed at assisting children and patients in the UAE requiring medical support.

  • Learning & Research: Issued 44 scholarships, funded 24 research grants, and achieved numerous peer-reviewed publications and academic presentations.

  • Community Engagement: Reached 6,041 beneficiaries through programmes including Ta’alouf, Wellness on Wheels mobile clinics, and Majlis Al Amal for women impacted by cancer.

Propelling Medical Research and Educational Advancements

The foundation’s support for research in critical areas such as cancer, allergies, and infectious diseases has fostered significant academic and clinical growth. It facilitated numerous training opportunities and helped cultivate the next generation of healthcare providers.

Development of Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital

A significant highlight is the establishment of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, an expansive 59,000 m² facility dedicated to comprehensive cancer care — from diagnosis to treatment and supportive services. This hospital aims to become a regional leader in cancer treatment and research.

Focus on Strategic Healthcare Endeavors

Through The Hope Fund, the foundation continues to develop 13 strategic projects, including specialized diagnostic units, innovation centers, and residential endowments, aimed at bolstering Dubai Health’s long-term capabilities.

Dedication to Philanthropy and Community Involvement

Throughout the year, Al Jalila Foundation reinforced donor engagement with initiatives like The Evening of Hope, Pioneers of Giving, and The Hope Run. These programmes have promoted a culture of philanthropy that resonates with the UAE’s broad community-centered vision.
