Aldar Enhances Social Contributions Through New Partnership with Ma’an

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Aldar has established a three-year strategic alliance with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, demonstrating its commitment to addressing the social priorities of Abu Dhabi. This collaboration is designed to implement specific, measurable programs aimed at improving community resilience and overall wellbeing.

The signing ceremony saw the participation of His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Aldar, alongside His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development. The agreement was officially signed by Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Aldar, and His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an.

Partnership Initiatives:

  • Blue Collar Activation Programme: Aims to enhance job opportunities for blue-collar workers.

  • Thrive Scholarship Fund: A collaborative initiative with Ma’an to extend support to more students.

  • Social Impact Fund: A new project focused on achieving measurable social change.

  • Employee Volunteering & In-Kind Support: Aldar's team will participate in community programs, while Darna, Aldar’s loyalty platform, will enable digital engagement for social impact.

Talal Al Dhiyebi stated, “Social impact is essential for Aldar. Our collaboration with Ma’an showcases how the private sector can create scalable, inclusive solutions aligned with the UAE’s social objectives. We are dedicated to delivering tangible results in education, employment, and community health.”

His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri remarked, “Through this partnership, Ma’an will persist in channeling contributions to initiatives that fulfill Abu Dhabi’s essential social needs, fostering a better quality of life for residents and building a more inclusive society.”

Since 2020, Aldar and Ma’an have positively impacted nearly 3,000 individuals through 11 projects covering healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social welfare. This included the introduction of Social Impact Bonds in the region, aimed at improving job prospects for local talent and uplifting families and People of Determination throughout Abu Dhabi.

This partnership emphasizes the effectiveness of public-private collaboration in driving Abu Dhabi’s vision for a sustainable, inclusive, and socially accountable future. Together, Aldar and Ma’an aspire to develop innovative social contribution models that resonate with UAE priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
