Awqaf Dubai Allocates AED 74.7 Million in Endowment Returns

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai (Awqaf Dubai) has allocated AED 74.7 million in returns from endowment investments of 2025 to various governmental and semi-governmental entities that initiated these endowments.

These funds were shared among nine beneficiaries, comprising the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), the Community Development Authority (CDA), the Dubai Club for People of Determination, the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC), among others.

The endowment finances are aimed at crucial fields such as healthcare, education, and social advancement. They facilitate support for medical research, educational initiatives, care services for People of Determination, and various humanitarian efforts across Dubai.

Managed by Awqaf Dubai, these endowment assets are invested following top-tier institutional practices. The foundation adheres to robust governance and investment standards, ensuring sustainable returns and enduring benefits for the recipient organizations.

Officials emphasized that this structured approach allows for efficient management of endowment assets while maximizing their societal advantages. It further ensures a steady flow of funds directed toward approved community and development ventures.

His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai, mentioned that the foundation is enhancing the endowment system by boosting investment performance and management efficiency.

He noted that these endowments serve as a powerful model for community collaboration, aiding in the sustainability of healthcare, education, social welfare, and empowerment programs for People of Determination.

Al Mutawa also stated that Awqaf Dubai implements a governance-driven, transparent, and sustainable strategy, ensuring beneficiary organizations can effectively continue their humanitarian and social endeavors.

The foundation further emphasized ongoing partnerships with government and quasi-government entities to broaden endowment-focused development initiatives, aiming to reinforce a culture of sustainable giving and bolster Dubai's long-term social and economic advancement objectives.
