The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its appreciation for the United Arab Emirates' successful mediation efforts resulting in a new prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine. This latest operation, which involved 410 individuals, has been hailed by Bahrain as a significant humanitarian achievement that may foster dialogue and peaceful resolutions amid ongoing tensions.
In a statement from the Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the UAE's diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives that facilitated this exchange. The ministry also noted the UAE's proactive role throughout the Russia-Ukraine conflict, having successfully assisted in the release of 7,101 prisoners through 23 mediation efforts.
Bahrain reiterated its commitment to supporting all international and regional endeavors aimed at resolving the conflict via dialogue and diplomatic negotiations. The ministry underscored the necessity of alleviating the crisis's humanitarian toll, promoting stability both regionally and globally, and striving for a just and enduring peace.
