Manama: Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, held a telephone conversation with Spain’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, to discuss bilateral relations and global cooperation.
According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), both leaders reviewed the strong and longstanding ties between Bahrain and Spain, highlighting the importance of further enhancing collaboration across various sectors. The discussion focused on expanding partnerships that serve the mutual interests of both nations and their people.
The ministers also exchanged views on Bahrain’s diplomatic role as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Special emphasis was placed on Bahrain’s presidency of the Council for the month of April and its ongoing efforts to contribute to international peace and stability.
During the call, both sides underlined Bahrain’s active role in promoting initiatives aimed at strengthening global security and advancing effective multilateral cooperation.
The conversation reflects the shared commitment of Bahrain and Spain to deepen diplomatic engagement and support international efforts for peace, stability, and sustainable development.
