Bahrain is taking new steps to improve its safety in the online world. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) have signed an important agreement. This agreement is focused on training people to protect the country from cyber threats like hacking, scams, and data theft.

Cybersecurity is very important today because everything is going digital. People use the internet for shopping, banking, learning, and healthcare. Governments and companies also use online systems. This makes them vulnerable to attacks from hackers or other groups who want to steal or damage important data.

Agreement Signed by National Leaders

This special agreement was signed by two top leaders. On behalf of NCSC, it was signed by Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). On behalf of BIBF, it was signed by Dr. Ahmed Abdulhameed Al Shaikh, who is the CEO of the institute.

Both organisations agreed to work together to train professionals in the field of cybersecurity. The goal is to prepare Bahrain’s workforce to be skilled in protecting digital systems and sensitive information.

Special Training at AICS 2025

As part of this new plan, the training sessions will be held during a big event called the Arab International Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition (AICS 2025). This conference will take place on November 5 and 6, 2025, at Exhibition World Bahrain, one of the largest venues in the region.

This important event is being held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He is the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister of Bahrain. His support shows how important cybersecurity is for the country’s safety and progress.

A Major Step Toward a Safer Digital Bahrain

The new partnership between NCSC and BIBF supports the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national plan to create a safe and sustainable digital environment. A digital environment includes things like online banking, government services, and other internet-based platforms.

Bahrain wants to prepare skilled professionals who can defend this digital space. These people will help prevent cybercrimes, protect personal and business data, and ensure the smooth running of online services.

AICS 2025: An International Cybersecurity Gathering

The AICS 2025 is more than just a local event. It is an international gathering of cybersecurity experts and professionals from all over the world. People will come to Bahrain to share their knowledge, ideas, and new technologies for digital safety.

Over 10,000 participants from 50 different countries are expected to attend. The conference will also feature more than 100 international speakers, including top cybersecurity leaders, government officials, and tech professionals.

Key Topics to Be Discussed at the Event

During AICS 2025, there will be many workshops, seminars, and talks. These sessions will focus on important areas of cybersecurity, including:

  • Protecting critical infrastructure such as electricity, water, and transport systems from cyber-attacks
  • Ensuring safe digital transformation in businesses and public services
  • Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) responsibly to detect and stop cyber threats
  • Data privacy and security, especially for online banking and health records

All of these topics are important because they help in building a strong and secure digital system for the country.

BIBF’s Focus on People and Digital Progress

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) is a well-known training centre in Bahrain. It has trained many professionals in banking, finance, and now technology. BIBF says that digital transformation is very important for the country’s growth.

Digital transformation means changing from old paper-based systems to modern online and computer-based systems. This change brings many benefits, such as faster services and better communication. But it also increases the need for strong cybersecurity systems.

BIBF believes that the best way to achieve digital growth is by investing in human capital. This means training people, giving them certifications, and helping them stay up to date with the latest technologies.

Training the Next Generation of Cyber Defenders

One of the most exciting parts of the AICS 2025 event is the focus on young people and students. Special youth programmes will be included in the conference to prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Young people will have the chance to learn directly from top experts in the field. They will get hands-on experience, attend workshops, and even take part in competitions or projects. This helps them become future cyber leaders who can protect Bahrain and even work in global tech companies.

A United Effort to Protect Bahrain’s Digital Future

This agreement between NCSC and BIBF shows the power of teamwork. By working together, these two organisations are helping Bahrain become more secure, modern, and connected.

They are also encouraging national cooperation between the public and private sectors. Cybersecurity is not just the job of the government or tech companies. Everyone, including schools, banks, hospitals, and ordinary citizens, has a role to play.

Bahrain as a Regional Leader in Cybersecurity

With initiatives like this, Bahrain is quickly becoming a regional leader in cybersecurity. Hosting major events like AICS 2025 and building skilled professionals will help the country stand out in the Middle East and beyond.

Bahrain is showing other countries that investing in people and technology is the key to a safe and successful future. This will also support Bahrain’s economy, as businesses and investors trust countries that have strong digital safety systems.

Building a Safe Digital Bahrain

In today’s world, cybersecurity is as important as physical security. Hackers and cybercriminals can cause serious damage to countries, companies, and individuals. That’s why Bahrain is taking smart steps by training more cybersecurity professionals, hosting global events, and involving young people in its efforts.

The agreement between NCSC and BIBF is a major move forward in creating a secure and smart digital future for Bahrain. With the support of national leaders and the hard work of skilled experts, Bahrain is ready to face the digital world with strength and confidence.
