Dramatic Police Pursuit on NKVE Concludes with Collision in Subang Jaya

Post by : Shakul

In a dramatic late-night chase on the New Klang Valley Expressway, authorities pursued a vehicle in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, leading to the apprehension of a Malaysian man and a foreign national. The event raised eyebrows due to the hazardous driving exhibited and the subsequent drug discovery.

Police reports indicate that the pursuit initiated after the suspects attempted to evade a routine checkpoint inspection. Officers followed a Proton Preve as it sped along the expressway, endangering fellow motorists.

The 45-year-old driver exhibited reckless behavior while fleeing from law enforcement, continuing until he veered off near Subang and entered a crowded intersection in Subang Jaya.

The situation escalated when the fleeing vehicle collided with a black BMW at a red light on Persiaran Tujuan, concluding the chase and allowing police to detain both suspects at the crash site.

A subsequent vehicle search revealed several packets of suspected narcotics, weighing approximately 16 grammes. This raised alarms regarding potential drug-related criminal activity.

Authorities confirmed that the male suspect has a lengthy criminal record with 21 prior offenses related to drug and other crimes, and he tested positive for methamphetamine following his arrest.

The female suspect, who is a foreigner with no recorded criminal history, was also detained. Both are currently in custody for further investigation.

The case is being examined under various statutes, including ones concerning obstruction of police work, drug possession, and dangerous driving. Officials emphasized the importance of such actions, as they pose a significant risk to public safety.

Police have called on anyone with relevant information to come forward to aid in the investigation, underscoring ongoing efforts to combat crime and enhance safety on major highways.
