A new initiative will bring promising AI talent from the UAE and Gulf states to the UK. TRENDS Research and Advisory has partnered with Cambridge AI to deliver an intensive 10-day summer programme at the University of Cambridge in July and August 2026.
Targeted at outstanding secondary students aged 16 to 18, the programme is designed to strengthen skills in science, technology and innovation. Attendees will work with international academics to prepare for developing knowledge-based and technological solutions with regional and global relevance.
The course combines lectures and practical workshops led by Cambridge researchers and industry specialists. Participants will also visit AI laboratories and start-ups to observe current developments. Key modules will address AI ethics and responsible innovation to help students navigate challenges in emerging technologies.
The programme finishes with a capstone project, where students present solutions developed during the course. This hands-on component ensures participants apply theoretical learning to real-world problems, enhancing creativity and critical thinking.
By opening access to a leading academic environment, the initiative aims to raise the standard of AI education in the UAE and GCC and support the region’s next generation of tech leaders.
