DAE Signs Deal With Saudia for Four Boeing 777F Freighters

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has signed a purchase and leaseback agreement with Saudia for four new Boeing 777F aircraft, supporting the Saudi airline's plans to expand its cargo fleet.

Under the long-term lease agreements, the four aircraft are scheduled to be delivered between October 2026 and May 2027, DAE said on Monday.

The agreement will increase the number of freighter aircraft available to Saudia as it expands its cargo operations and strengthens its ability to serve markets across its international network.

Four Boeing 777F Aircraft to Be Delivered by May 2027

Deliveries are scheduled to start in October 2026, with the final aircraft expected to arrive by May 2027.

The Boeing 777F is a long-range widebody freighter designed to carry cargo on international routes. Its high payload capacity and long-haul operating capability make it suitable for Saudia's expanding cargo operations.

DAE CEO Firoz Tarapore said the company was pleased to enter into the purchase and leaseback agreement with Saudia. “We are pleased to announce a purchase-leaseback agreement for four Boeing 777F aircraft with Saudia. This transaction reflects our continued commitment to supporting our airline customers with high-quality, in-demand aircraft.”

Tarapore also said the aircraft would help Saudia expand its cargo operations and improve its ability to serve important markets across its global network.

DAE Fleet Exceeds 1,000 Aircraft

DAE currently owns, manages or has commitments covering more than 1,000 aircraft across its portfolio.

More than 250 aircraft in the portfolio are manufactured by Boeing. The Dubai-based aviation services company said it plans further fleet expansion to meet market demand.
