Empowering Emirati Talent: Dubai's Real Estate Developer Gathering

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Dubai Land Department (DLD), in conjunction with Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), has initiated a developer meeting as part of the Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme. This crucial initiative aims to bolster the participation of Emirati talent in Dubai’s real estate market.

Enhancing Skills and Industry Connections

The meeting constituted a significant step in the programme's first phase, facilitating exchanges between participants and prominent real estate developers. It provided a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and hands-on industry experiences.

This initiative is aimed at assisting trainees in bridging the gap between academic education and practical application by linking them with active projects, insights into the market, and viable business opportunities.

Aiding National Entrepreneurial Aspirations

The Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator is an integral part of the national vision titled “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World”, under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Its goal is to cultivate a robust entrepreneurial environment for Emiratis within the real estate sector.

It involves collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis, the New Economy Academy, and Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai (RIT Dubai), creating a cohesive training framework to innovate future real estate brokers and entrepreneurs.

Connecting Developers with Aspiring Professionals

The meeting reinforced collaboration between developers and programme participants, granting them access to project information, marketing avenues, and structured mentorship. Participants also gain from personalized guidance sessions and advanced real estate tools alongside industry incentives.

According to officials, these programs are pivotal in transforming trainees into market-ready professionals equipped to launch and manage their real estate firms.

Insights from Leadership

Badr Buhannad, Director General of Dubai Silicon Oasis, noted the importance of this programme in empowering local talent and setting them up for long-term success in real estate.

Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), stressed that the initiative is about more than just training; it focuses on fostering competitive enterprises that support the growth of Dubai’s real estate landscape.

Fostering a Sustainable Real Estate Landscape

This programme embodies Dubai’s vision for a resilient and innovative real estate environment led by skilled Emiratis. Through tailored training and direct industry engagement, it aspires to establish sustainable career pathways while enhancing market competitiveness.
