Dubai Taxi Company Bolsters Fleet with 600 Additional Licenses

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), a prominent mobility service provider in Dubai, has successfully secured 600 new taxi license plates in the recent auction organized by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority.

This significant expansion reaffirms DTC’s status as the dominant taxi operator in Dubai, elevating its market share to 47 percent. The total fleet will now grow from 6,217 vehicles to 6,817 vehicles.

The newly added taxis will be rolled out in phases beginning July 2026. This approach aims to sustain operational effectiveness while delivering premium service quality to customers, addressing the growing demand for transport services across the city.

Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, the Group CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, remarked that the addition of 600 new taxi licenses is a crucial advancement in the company's growth framework. He emphasized that this expansion showcases trust in Dubai’s rapidly evolving mobility landscape and urban development.

He further noted that this phased vehicle rollout will enhance asset efficiency, bolster financial outcomes, and significantly improve customer satisfaction.

This initiative also resonates with the vision set forth by the Dubai government and the RTA to foster a smart and interconnected mobility system, supporting the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aimed at positioning Dubai as a worldwide leader in advanced urban services.
