In an extraordinary achievement, Dubai Basketball’s U18 Elite team captured the title at the Basket Cup Sarajevo 2026, marking their impressive debut in the tournament held from April 3 to April 5, which featured Europe's elite youth teams.

This victory symbolizes a landmark moment as the first non-European team to win the trophy, showcasing exceptional synergy, skill, and perseverance throughout all stages of the competition.

Unstoppable Journey from Group Stages to Championship

Exhibiting dominance, the Dubai U18 team excelled in the group phase, notching up wins against:

  • Grafičar Ludberg

  • Ilirija Ljubljana

  • Scuola Basket Miky Mian

Advancing through the knockout rounds, the squad overcame Maribor Mladi and Murska Sobota in the semi-finals to reach the championship clash.

In a thrilling final, Dubai Basketball emerged victorious against Ras Beograd with a score of 69–53, led by star player Luka Malović who scored 21 points, his highest in the tournament.
