Dubai CDA Collaborates with Louis Vuitton to Empower Emirati Workforce

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the renowned luxury brand Louis Vuitton to enhance employment opportunities for Emirati citizens and People of Determination.

This strategic collaboration aims to unlock new career avenues within industries such as retail, fashion, and craftsmanship. It further supports Dubai’s mission to foster an inclusive society while bolstering its global standing in social and economic empowerment.

As part of the agreement, Emiratis will receive specialized training in skills such as tailoring, repairs, craftsmanship, inventory management, and retail sales. The initiative also prioritizes the integration of People of Determination into the workforce through targeted training initiatives and tailored workplace assistance.

Additionally, the partnership is set to enhance long-term career progression, promote corporate social responsibility, and endorse volunteer programs, with an emphasis on empowering women and fostering inclusion.

Maitha Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Sector at CDA, emphasized that this partnership is a testament to ongoing efforts to equip Emiratis with practical skills and sustainable job opportunities. She noted that collaborating with leading brands encourages public-private partnerships, enabling individuals to contribute meaningfully to society.

Miguel Vargas, Managing Director of Louis Vuitton Middle East, affirmed the brand's commitment to nurturing Emirati talent and advancing inclusion. He remarked that the initiative will create genuine career possibilities in retail, customer service, and craftsmanship, helping individuals develop confidence and independence.

This MoU is aligned with Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, which aims to empower Emiratis, elevate their economic involvement, and establish a balanced, sustainable society.

Both parties aspire to generate enduring social and economic benefits, specifically for youth and People of Determination, through skill enhancement, job opportunities, and knowledge exchange.
