The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has reported strong results from its “Fruits of Your Charity” initiative during the first quarter of 2026. The program supported more than 190 beneficiaries with total spending close to AED 18 million, showing a clear focus on sustainable and impactful charitable work.
The initiative reflects Dubai’s vision to turn charity into long-term development by supporting key areas such as healthcare, education, and family stability.
In the healthcare sector, more than AED 1.3 million was spent to support 77 patients. The assistance included covering treatment costs and providing medical equipment, helping improve patients’ quality of life and recovery chances.
Under the “Chair of Knowledge” initiative, over AED 160,000 was allocated to support students. This helped them continue their education by paying tuition fees and assisting financially struggling families. The program highlights the importance of education in building a better future.
As part of the Year of the Family 2026, the housing initiative provided support worth nearly AED 200,000 to Emirati families. This effort aimed to improve living conditions and strengthen family stability, which is seen as a key part of a healthy society.
The “Relief of Distress” initiative also played a major role by helping financially distressed inmates. Around AED 1.6 million was used to settle debts, allowing 15 individuals to regain their freedom and start a new life.
Other initiatives, including humanitarian cases, the “Jood” platform, and the “Lifeline” campaign, contributed more than AED 14 million. These programs addressed different social and humanitarian needs, showing the wide reach of IACAD’s efforts.
Mohammed Musabeh Dhahi, CEO of the Charitable Work Sector, said these results show a shift from short-term aid to sustainable humanitarian investment. He emphasized that the goal is to improve quality of life, support families, and empower society.
He added that IACAD will continue to develop innovative programs and strengthen partnerships to increase the impact of charitable work. The department aims to support Dubai’s goal of becoming a global leader in humanitarian efforts and a hub for charity and giving.
