Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum assessed the proactive strategies implemented by Dubai Customs to ensure seamless trade operations and uphold stable supply chains in light of ongoing global and regional shifts.
Present at the meeting were Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, alongside Abdulla Al Basti.
During discussions, His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Busenad provided Sheikh Hamdan with insights into the latest updates concerning cargo movements, operational performances, and strategic approaches aimed at bolstering businesses and safeguarding trade activities amid the current geopolitical landscape.
Dubai Customs emphasized its integrated monitoring system for supply chains and trade flows across both regional and international markets. This framework enables swift assessments of developments, allowing for proactive measures to maintain operational efficiency and accelerate customs clearance processes.
Additionally, Dr. Busenad discussed several initiatives introduced in partnership with strategic allies and stakeholders. Noteworthy among these is the Green Corridor project, which was activated within 72 hours in concert with authorities in the Sultanate of Oman, aimed at facilitating cargo transfers and reinforcing regional supply chain robustness.
Furthermore, Dubai Customs has rolled out flexible operational solutions and customs facilitation strategies to assist businesses in navigating trade hurdles and ensuring continuous goods movement.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the necessity of continually innovating and proactively developing solutions to enhance Dubai’s capacity to respond to global changes. He noted that these efforts further solidify Dubai’s stature as a prominent global trade and economic center, recognized for its resilience and commitment to business continuity.
Dr. Abdulla Busenad reiterated that Dubai Customs remains vigilant in monitoring global trade trends, collaborating closely with partners and clients to ensure market stability, seamless cargo transitions, and heightened business confidence.
He concluded by stating that Dubai Customs continues to leverage challenges as opportunities through effective initiatives that elevate Dubai’s competitive edge and its strategic role as a gateway to global markets.
