Dubai Unveils Women-Only Beach and Night Swimming Zone

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The first phase of Dubai's significant Al Mamzar Beaches redevelopment has launched, showcasing a fresh beachfront that includes a dedicated women-only beach zone, facilities for night swimming available around the clock, exciting water sports options, and the region's inaugural floating walkway.

Inaugurated on May 5 by the Dubai Municipality, this initiative is part of the AED 500 million Al Mamzar Beaches project.

Spanning 2.75 million square feet, the enhanced coastal locale aims to elevate the public beach experience for both residents and visitors, focusing on safety, accessibility, and recreational family-friendly amenities.

A key feature is the exclusive women-only beach segment, offering a comfortable and private space for female guests. Furthermore, the 24-hour night swimming zone is outfitted with sophisticated lighting and safety measures to ensure a secure swim even after dark.

Today, Dubai enhances its recreational offerings with new water sports facilities and a floating walkway, set to provide an unparalleled experience along its shores.

The extensive redevelopment also integrates jogging and cycling paths, children's playgrounds, landscaped areas, dining spots, cafés, and upgraded public services to bolster tourism and community engagement.

Officials emphasize that the Al Mamzar Beaches initiative reflects Dubai’s broader strategy to improve public spaces and fortify its reputation as a premier global tourist hotspot.
