The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has unveiled the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Scholarships. This announcement took place with Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum present.

This initiative seeks to cultivate a group of highly adept governmental leaders capable of excelling in key sectors such as economics, technology, and policy formulation.

Goal of Producing Exceptional Government Leaders

The inaugural cohort comprises promising Emiratis drawn from various governmental sectors. The aim is to equip them with advanced academic knowledge and practical abilities that align with the UAE government's objectives.

In his speech, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that genuine progress stems from adaptable governments that continuously learn and apply knowledge effectively.

He stressed that ongoing education is crucial for advancement, and that university-acquired knowledge should translate into palpable societal benefits.

Specialized Educational Programs Offered

The scholarships will cover advanced study options in critical areas, including:

  • Master’s in International Business and Policy

  • Master’s in Applied Artificial Intelligence

  • Master’s in Economics

  • Executive Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business from University of Oxford

These programs are crafted to offer deep insights and prepare participants for modern challenges.

Partnership with Renowned Global Universities

This initiative collaborates with prestigious international institutions such as:

  • Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence

  • New York University Abu Dhabi

  • Georgetown University

  • University of Oxford

Such partnerships assure high-caliber education and a global viewpoint for participants.

Transforming Government Employee Training

According to Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, this program signifies a transformative approach to government employee education. The emphasis now lies on specialized training directly aligned with government functions, moving past traditional methodologies.
