In a significant move for urban development, Dubai South has entered a partnership with Majid Al Futtaim to create a groundbreaking AED 62 billion mixed-use community in Dubai. Spanning 22 million square feet, the project promises to blend residential, retail, entertainment, and lifestyle facilities seamlessly.
The agreement was formalized at Dubai South's headquarters, attended by HE Khalifa Alzaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation alongside Fadel Abdulbaqi Al Ali, Chairman of Majid Al Futtaim Holding.
The contract was signed by Nabil Alkindi, Group CEO of Dubai South, and Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, marking a significant collaboration.
The planned community will offer diverse residential options paired with retail and lifestyle experiences tailored to meet the needs of Dubai South's growing population. A flagship shopping mall is anticipated to be a highlight, attracting visitors for shopping, entertainment, and leisure.
Strategically positioned near the future world’s largest airport at Al Maktoum International, the project will ensure seamless connectivity to key highways and economic hubs in Dubai.
Nabil Alkindi emphasized that this partnership represents a crucial step forward in Dubai South’s evolution, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33’s vision for sustainable growth.
Conversely, Ahmed Galal Ismail affirmed Majid Al Futtaim's confident outlook on Dubai’s development trajectory, highlighting the project’s potential to unify retail, hospitality, entertainment, and residential sectors in a cohesive community.
This ambitious venture is set to bolster Dubai’s retail, tourism, and commercial sectors, reinforcing the emirate's objectives for sustainable economic advancement.
